Know about Deep Tissue Therapy

Deep tissue therapy involves applying firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia which break up scar tissue and physically break down muscle “knots” or adhesions that can cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation but it should subside within a day or so. Therapists use knuckles, fingertips, forearms, hands and elbows during the deep tissue massage.

It is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, and patients who have sustained a non-recent physical injury.
